You know that I prefer so called obscure sound: well, 2:54 album was one of my favourite in this year. Really.
I’ve met them while they were supporting Garbage in Vigevano, a couple of month ago. Nice interview, even if it was interrupted by bells due bucolic-alike-atmosphere.
London based 2:54 are made up of sisters Colette and Hannah Thurlow, joined by Joel Porter on bass and Alex Robins on drums. Debut 7” On A Wire/Cold Front was released in March 2011 and they have since released the Scarlet EP in November 2011 and Single ‘You’re Early’ in April 2012. Their debut self-titled album was released in May 2012. Influenced by punk bands, the name 2:54 was taken from the timeline in a Melvins song. 2:54
