I’m a lucky girl. Even if the organization of this festival (who own the video, so… ciao!) still haven’t paid me for the interview… well, having an interview with Sergio Pizzorno was one of the dream of my life: so we could say it’s a sort of gift.

During the Kasabian’s set I had to interview another band, and it was a truly sufference for me. Heard their song from the stage and thinking about the artists in front of me. When I finished that I run towards the stage to see them play. And then, I did not think about an interview with Sergio. It was late, it were about 10 p.m and Arctic Monkeys were going on stage! But one of the press officers, while I was browsing for a beer (goddamn, there weren’t alcool in that backstage. What a crap), yelled at me and say “Francesca, tra cinque minuti arriva Sergio per l’intervista”.

Panic. Happiness. Panic. Panic.

When Sergio arrived was quite tired and dark. He searched his seat and he and his beer seemed smaller than he was. I just approached him said: “Hi Sergio, I’m Francesca and well… once or twice a year I interview someone I really love. And you have to know that this is the second Kasabian concert in 10 days for me… so, I’m really nervous and I don’t know I’ll try to be somewhat professional, you know…”

He said to me touching my arm: “aaaw, you’re so sweet”. I think at that moment my brain were resected. But I say “well, sorry for this stupid questions but the aim is publicize your record and your show… I’m kinda obliged”. And he smiled. “So: look at me to be more natural, and let’s start, ok?” And then made this video. The longest 5 min of my life, really.

One of my best time in my life. Othervise I’m so angry that everytime having a promo with the band is becoming harder and harder. [and also I’m angry because of my money still did not arrive from the organizer of the festival, obviously]
